简述 ：Therefore, i will insist on learning English without translations. 
In fact, if we always use english by translations, 
we will be depended on it too much. As a result, 
we may not use English freely without translations.

Hi, this is Ann Wei. I have left GLV for more than one month. Last night, i dreamed that i came back to class at GlV again, and it was not the first time i had such a dream, therefore, i can remember the details of the dream clearly. All these dreams made me feel so warm. I know that if i want to go back to GLV, it will cost me an arm and a leg. So i will get to the point about what i have done in the past few months to practise my English.

On arriving at my campus, i made calls to my friends and roommates of GLV tand told them whare i was at that moment. And one week later, i couldn't help calling them every night. During that time, i preferred to talk to them in English rather than in Chinese, hence, when i wanted to say something, the English expressions always came to my mind first.

I knew i should dind a place where i can speak English to people. Luckily, i found an ad for teachers to do some oral English training. I applied for the part-time job there, unfortunately, it required that i need to stay in that city at least two years. However, i was still offered to be a volunteer there for two days, my job was to help the children with their English contest. We spoke English to each other among the teachers, but most of time, i had to speak Mandarin to the children and their parents.

When i miss my friends, i would always call them. When i miss GlV, I wouls call the dorm's numbers. I have three numbers, one is my dorm's mumber, two are my friends numbers. Calling them could bring me back to the life of GLV again, because my friends were immersed in the GLV's envirnment, also they could always tell me what happened at GLV recently and stories about their new teachers. Now, i am wondering that if i call back again, who will answer the phone and whether they want to speak to me-a stanger or not , because most of my friends have left GLV.

There is a four-star hotel near my university which belongs to my university. One day, i saw an ad which was posted on the wall of hotel, it said that some was looking for the Chinese tutors. All of a suden, a new idea came to my mind. There are a lot of international students studying Chinese and Western medicine there, so i thought i could use my english to help those international students for free.

 In the afternoon, i posted a notice with some my personal information on it. Also, i have written down on the notice that anyone who wants my help, please contact with me. At the end it worked out.

I accompanied some indians to the bank, hospital and China telecom agency to apply for the Internet. I also helped them bought a desktop computer during the next two weeks for free. I feel that it is very nice to use English to help others. Recently, i was sending e-mails and chat on line with my friends in English, in order to keep the English only environment.

I felt upset that i couldn't speak English as fruently as before, however i feel much better now, becuse i have tried my best to keep using English and take is as a communication tool. As long as i still continue learning and using English, i think my english will be very good again. Therefore, i will insist on learning English without translations. In fact, if we always use english by translations, we will be depended on it too much. As a result, we may not use English freely without translations.
