My Birthday

Last Tuesday was my birthday. I could not go back home to celebrate it. Because it was raining and my home is far away from here. Nobody knew it was my birthday expect for my family, Because I have not told other people. I felt alone. I stayed in the dormitory to do my homework and waited for Bill to help me with grammar. I told Bill that it was my birthday by mistake when he was correcting my mistakes. He went outside when I was watching TV. Suddenly, The bell rang, "Who is it ?" I thought. I went to the door and opened the wooden door. Oh, my God! I could not believe my eyes. I closed and opened my eyes. "It is true, I am not in a dream." I thought. I was too surprises to open the steel door. "Happy Birthday!" said Bill having a birthday cake in his hand." "Thank you! Thank you very much!" I was so touched my mind went blank. During the party , I was too happy to know what I could do. I stood and waited for Bill to clean the table and fire the candles. It seemed that I was in dream when everyone was singing the Happy Birthday Song. After the party , I really realized that there are a lot of things different between western and Chinese people. Such as habits and ideas. But we do share many of the same things; we are friends; we went to help each other; we care about each other ......
