How English Changed My Life

花儿朵朵开在春光里

When I was a child, I admired the Chinese who could speak fluent English very much. I tried my best to learn it, but the result wasn’t good. I chose my major in English for five years as a junior college student. During that time, our students paid more attention to passing the CET-6 and we ignored the most important part of learning English. English is a tool to help you to communicate with foreigners. You have to use it and speak up, so speaking English was my dream. I wondered when my dream would come true.

Then I found GLVHZ. I am sure this is the turning point in my life. You are not only learning English, but also the western cultures and minds; even Chinese history which I never paid enough attention to before. These things opened my mind and let me know the whole world. English is the key to open my life door.

登台演出，忘了自己

I was afraid of speaking English in public. I thought people would laugh at me if I made mistakes, I didn’t want to lose face; but everything changes at GLVHZ. It’s a safe place to make mistakes and “lose face” in public. As much as you practice, the better you will achieve. Teachers and classmates will help and support you, you will have confidence and be proud of yourself.
