Since many theories in our textbooks come from western countries, students cannot understand their major well if they know nothing about English. Even if his major is Chinese culture, he also should know as much English as possible to read the books about other countries cultures, and from the comparison between different cultures, he can learn more. Besides, students cannot get bachelor’s degree without a CET4 certificate.

 Secondly, more and more professions have requirements in English. If the students do not want further studies, English skill will be an important factor affecting the kind of job they will do, the salary they will get, and the possibility of promotion they will have. It also happens among. Students who get a bachelor, master, or doctor degree. And it is also the reason why many people spent a lot of money and time in improving their English in GLV, after working for some time.

我们关注历史文化

    所有的中国初、高中生都必须学习英语。

当今，在中国，所有的初高中生都必须学习英语。在他们未来的生活中，有些会很频繁的使用英语，有的偶尔也会用到，也有些是不会的。虽然英语对那些人一点用途都没，我还是认为学习英语是必须的。

首先，对于那些想到国内外大学继续深造学习的人来说，掌握英语基本的知识是非常必要的。因为我们教科书里很多的理论来源西方国家，如果英语不是很好的话，是不可能很好的理解这些课程的。就算他主修的是中文，他也应该尽可能多的懂英语，以便能学好必需的国外的文化。而且通过不同文化的比较，他也就能学的更多了。除此之外，没有通过大学的4级英语考试也不可能拿到学士学位的。

    其次，越来越多的职业都有需要懂英语这一要求，如果学生没有想要进一步的学习，英语技能就会成为影响他们需要的哪类工作，工资，晋升的非常重要的因素了。这样的情况也同样出现在想取得学士，硕士和博士学位的学生里。这也是为什么有很多人花很多的时间和金钱来平和英语学习的原因，在他们工作了一段时间后。

最后，是现代生活的需要。如果你想看英文的新闻和电影，你需要学习英语。如果你想读英文书籍，你需要学习英语。如果你想去国外旅游，你也需要学习英语。英语存在于我们生活的每一个角落。
